Professional Instructors
At Heli Theory all of the instructors are commercial helicopter pilots as well as theory tutors. The instructors can draw from their experience both in the cockpit and the classroom to offer you the best helicopter-specific training possible.
No Experience Necessary
Our courses are designed for students with no aviation experience at all, so don’t worry if you haven’t done any flying or pre-reading, although of course, every bit helps.
At Heli Theory we know that you may not have done any schooling or study for many years and tailor our courses around that. We have had students pass their exams after not having done any schooling for over 50 years!
Tailored Materials
At Heli Theory we have carefully designed our course materials to meet the needs of the student helicopter pilot. With a practical, hands-on approach and easy to understand format, we have designed our classroom materials to be accessible and engaging, while covering the whole PPL & CPL syllabuses.
Private Pilot Licenses
Heli Theory is the only company currently offering specialized PPL courses.
Most schools only offer full-time CPL courses; Heli Theory has specially developed a ground course with the private pilot in mind, concentrating on the PPL helicopter syllabus. Heli Theory offers the most experienced PPL(H) theory tuition available in Australia.
Commercial Pilot Licenses
All of our instructors are commercial pilots and are experienced in helping students through the tricky aspects of the CPL(H) syllabus. We provide full-time ground courses, or if you just need a bit of help with one subject, or even just part of one subject, Heli Theory can help you.
